Just across the road from the Lamb & Anchor the Sugar Loaf was demolished in 1958. When the door numbers in Milk street ran consecutively the Sugar Loaf was at No.25. Around 1877-78 the system of alternate numbering was introduced, and the Sugar Loaf became No.45.
