A small pub at No.44 Grosvenor Road, pictured here in the 1920’s.  Further up the road can be seen the Ashton Gate Brewery sign of the much larger Grosvenor House.  Both were destined to become Georges’ pubs, the Grosvenor House in 1932 and the Grosvenor Arms in 1956.
